What have I learned through The Break #thebreakfellowship
?
🎶 It’s never too late to learn, meet new people, explore places, cultures, and ideas. Despite being one of the oldest members in terms of age, I could learn, hear, and see something new every day.
🌈 Diversity enriches. Each of us brought a new and valuable piece of knowledge, experience, and potential. Some things were harder in the group (preparing meals, cleaning, coordinating activities, balancing temperaments…), and some things wouldn’t have been possible without the group (sharing stories, recipes, and advice about work and life).
✈️ Changing locations opens up new dimensions. Perhaps no additional explanation is needed here. The comfort zone can be the toughest obstacle, although for someone like me, it is limiting and tight.
💚 Sustainability, in the full sense, is learned throughout a lifetime. It’s not easy (nor should it be!), but it’s worth it.
🧭 Time is relative. It seemed like it would be long, but in the last few days, it’s clear that it flew by.
😎 Despite differences, we have a lot in common. We are sensitive to others’ opinions, prefer to support rather than compete, see money as a necessary evil, and don’t like to be talked down to. We are aware that life isn’t fair and want to correct that. Correct me if I’m wrong. 😉
